The lime concrete slab

It took such a long time to get there, but here we are !!! We now have a concrete slab in the grange and hopefully it will be a breathable one. We used lime concrete instead of traditional concrete, as we did not want the humidity from the ground to rise into the grange old stone walls.
It is costing us almost twice the amount of a traditional slab, so it better breathes ! We also had to use fiber instead of steel reinforcements, which would have rust and lead to cracks in the slab.
The grange now looks so different with the floor.
We finally have the feeling that we are moving forward and that the next stages of the construction work aren't so far anymore.
So, it was a big step today, which lifted our spirits after weeks of depressing delays. Champagne !!!!
